Jean Paul Sinibaldi studied under Alexandre Cabanel and Alfred Stevens. He exhibited at several important expositions of his time and at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris.

He was awarded a commendation in 1886, a travelling scholarship in 1888, a bronze medal at the Exposition Universelle of 1889, a second-class medal in 1898 and a silver medal at the Exposition Universelle of 1900. He was made a Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur in that same year.
