Painter of still lifes, hunting scenes and interiors; engraver.
Paul-Emile Nicolié was the son and pupil of Joseph Nicolié.
He was especially well-known as a painter and engraver of interiors and hunting scenes, in which he also paid explicit attention to the scenery.
His work “Game” was published by the Association des Aquafortistes Anversois.
He worked for several years as an art restorer at the Fine Arts Museum of his birthplace.
The Antwerp Museum of Fine Arts possesses his “The Blue Sash” and “Kitchen Interior” (1875) and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam several of his etchings.
