Painter of genre scenes, landscapes and animals.

Franz De Beul was a pupil of the Academies of Fine Arts of Termonde and Brussels. He stayed in Paris for a while where he got acquainted with Charles Jacques who praised him highly.

In 1888 he made a study trip to Russia and brought back a number of oil paintings such as: “Cossack Race in Kiev” and “Kiev Market”, both of which were very successful.

He exhibited in Antwerp, Brussels, Berlin, Chicago, Dresden, London, Munich, New York, Paris and San Francisco, where he won many awards.

An upright, refined and distinguished art full of poetry.
