Painter of historical and biblical subjects and portraits.
Gaspard Joseph Starck was a student of Navez and Vernet. He exhibited several times in Brussels and in Antwerp.
His “Retable of the Main Alter” (1848) can be seen in the Church of Saint-Donat in Arlon. “The Taking of the Cath of Leopold II” (1870) and “The Last Session of the Opening of the Legislative Chamber by Leopold II” are in the Chamber of Representatives in Brussels.
