Henri Langerock was a pupil of the Ghent Academy under Henri Van Der Haert, Jean-Gillis Van Der Plaetsen and Théodore Joseph Canneel. Pierre Vandesteene taught him how to lithograph. After graduation, he lived all over France ( Paris, Lyons) and in Naples. He travelled to Egypt, Brasil and the Far East. When in Paris, he frequently worked in the forest of Fontainebleau. He also worked in Brussels for some time.
