Painter of genre scenes and portraits; painter of gouaches, draughtsman and illustrator.

Felix Schwormstädt studied at the Fine Arts Academy of Karlsruhe and then under Carl von Marr at the Fine Arts Academy of Munich.

Label on the back of the museum cardboard: “# 4029 1 St Schwormstädt: Mit der Zuh in Franfurt aM” and inscription on the back of the paper: “Auf der Zeile in Frankfurt”.

In front we see the ‘Hauptwache’, formerly a police station and a tram node, since 1902 a coffee house. The dome in the background belongs to the main post office, today the shopping mall ‘My Zeil’ (Zeil 106).
