Painter of landscapes and cityscapes; draftsman and engraver.
Lorenzo Viterbo was deeply captivated by light and a brilliant painter of (moon-drenched) landscapes with rich, sensual colors and softly veiled shapes.
His astute portrayal of reality appealed to many.
He had a great sensitivity to the interaction of light, to textures and mutual, subtle color reflections.
Viterbo forces us to enjoy simple but rich pleasures: the beauty of colors and shapes of the world around us.
