Painter of mythological subjects, genre scenes, portraits and landscapes.

Albert Cresswell was a pupil of Gustave Boulanger, Jules Lefebvre and Luc Olivier Merson.

He exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1880 to 1929, receiving several awards, including an honourable mention in 1892 and a third-place medal in 1907.

This painting has been exhibited in 1995 at the Fine Arts Museum of Ostend for the exhibition “5 jaar Vrienden”.
