Painter of genre scenes, animals, portraits, landscapes, seascapes and flowers; watercolourist and pastellist.

Edoardo Gioja was a pupil of his father Belisario Gioja and of Nino Costa in Rome. He studied in Germany, the Netherlands, Paris and London.

He painted flowers, landscapes, seascapes around the port of Porto d’Anzio and portraits. From 1919 on he worked in London, where he was the portraitist of the high aristocracy.
