Lady painter of flowers, fruit, insects, animals and figures; draughtswoman and lithographer.

Petronella van Woensel was born on May 11, 1785 in Wijhe and decased on December 12, 1839 in The Hague.

She was a pupil of Jan Van Os and painted and drew flowers, fruit and insects; she lithographed and, later on, also painted some scenes with figures. She worked in The Hague and, temporary, in Brussels (1822) and in Antwerp (1826).
