Karl Jacobs was born on April 28, 1864 in Minden, Westphalia. He was active in Pasing near Munich. He was a pupil of the School of Arts and Crafts (Kunstgewerbeschule) in Munich and focused on decorative painting. He created and executed many decorative, figurative and ornamental works for schools, banks, barracks, hotels, restaurants and villa’s in Aichach, Immensee, Karersee, Kaufbeuren, Kempten, Memmingen, Meran, München, Obergünzburg and Bad Reichenhall.

He published the following works: “Meisterkurse des Handwerkskammer in Oberbayern” and “Der Dekorationsmaler der Neuzeit”.
