Painter of genre scenes, interiors and portraits.
Basile De Loose was taught by his father, Jean-Joseph De Loose, and Mathieu Van Brée. He was also a pupil of the Antwerp and Saint-Nicolas Academies. He lived in Paris from 1834 till 1835 and settled down in Brussels. He also exhibited in Germany.
