Painter of portraits and genre scenes.
Théodore Cériez was successively a pupil at the Academies of Ypres and Antwerp, later he studied in Paris under Fauvelet. He was principal of the Ypres Academy for many years. He painted elegant scenes in the style of Louis XV.
