Janos Laszlo Aldor trained to be an engineer. As a painter of naturalism however, he was a self-taught man. From 1924 onwards he participated at many exhibitions and from 1930 on he exhibited at the Firenze Biennial. He was president of the Benczur Society, an association of Hungarian painters.
