Painter of urban and water landscapes. Post-impressionist.

Albert Ferdinand Duprat was a pupil at the School of Fine Arts of Venice. He painted almost exclusively views of Venice, of its canals and monuments and some naval views of the lagoon or of the Adriatic sea. However, he also painted in Paris, namely the banks and bridges of the Seine. In Martigues he painted the canals of the ‘Venice of the Provence’.

As a painter of waterscapes, he loved the light effects of the setting sun.
