Painter of genre scenes and historical subjects; engraver and lithographer.

Constantin-Fidèle Coene was a pupil of van Assche and Faber in Brussels and of Barbiers in Amsterdam (1800).
In 1820 he was made a professor in Brussels.

Coene was an excellent painter of genre scenes.
