Painter of genre scenes and animals.

George Sturm trained under his father, Friedrich Sturm, and Ferdinand Laufberger at the art school in Vienna, before enrolling at the art school in Amsterdam in 1882. He mostly worked in Holland.

Several of his works can be seen in the wedding room of the Utrecht town hall and at the Utrecht University.
