Painter of genre scenes, portraits, landscapes and architectural views; watercolourist.

Franz Heinrich studied at the Art Academy in Vienna from 1819 to 1830 and painted watercolours with Fache. He travellled in Italy, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and America before settling in Vienna.

The Vienna Museum has several of his watercolours in its collection, notably his self-portrait and views of Rome and Venice.
