He travelled to Portugal, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Germany and Holland. From 1855 to 1876 he taught at the Brussels Academy. In 1833 and 1872 Bossuet published two papers on perspective.

Bossuet’s works are abundant and remarkable for their precision, accuracy of perspective and their striking effects of light. His town views are very much in favour and constitute excellent topographical documents.

Bossuet’s work can be admired in the collections of the Antwerp and Brussels Royal Museums, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Ostend Mu.ZEE.
