Painter of animals and (animated) landscapes.

Alfred Weczerzick studied to become a teacher at the Berlin Museum of Applied Arts (1882-1886) and under Otto Brausewetter at the Berlin Academy (1886-1887), sponsored by Paul Meyerheim. He made his debut at the Great Art Exhibition of Berlin in 1889 with works of birds. He first became known for his keenly observed monkeys and dogs. He then expanded his field by also painting insects and by connecting animals and landscapes and occasionally introducing the human figure, especially the shepherd.

In the 1890s he took part in the exhibitions of the Berlin Academy, from 1904 he also exhibited at the Great Art Exhibition in Berlin, from 1906 at the Munich Glaspalast and from 1938 in the German Art Exhibition, also in Munich.
