Painter of portraits; watercolourist, draughtsman and illustrator.

Raphaël Kirchner was a pupil of the Fine Arts Academy in Vienna before settling down in Paris. He exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français. He worked on Parisian newspapers, especially “La Vie Parisienne” (“Paris Life”). In August 1914, he moved to the United States, where he died in 1917.
